RZIM – Columbia University Q&A Part 2 of 3
Q – what is wrong with Christianity decline in America.
A – Ravi – The problem is not with America. The problem is the church in America. It is very shallow. It has mastered engineering feelings without thought and without communicating a foundation in truth. The church repeats things and parrots things without much thought.
Very little thinking goes on in church. The church does not think faith through. Church has not listened to others and what their questions are. Answers are very shallow. In trying to become seeker friendly church has become message unfriendly (incomplete). No real depth to what is being taught. Life has jagged edges and the church gives simple and incomplete answers.
Excessive focus on music and community. These are only one thing. Teaching and ideas and questions and answers are important. Expenditure of words without an income of ideas will result in conceptual bankruptcy.
The church fails to explain it faith correctly, completely and accurately.
